FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DOWNTOWN
KALAMAZOO, MI — For the second
year, the Downtown Kalamazoo Restaurant Association will release
a discount card. Valid at 18 (plus) restaurants in and around downtown,
this card will provide discounts ranging from 10% off food bill
to buy one, get one free entrée.
These
cards will be released around April 1, 2006, and will be valid until
April 1, 2007. Cardholders may use these discounts an unlimited
number of times until card expires.
Just
like last year, the DKRA will make these cards available to local
nonprofit organizations to sell. The cards, marked $10 each, will
net $5 for the selling nonprofit organization. (There is no
limit to the number of cards a single nonprofit may sell.) During
2005-2006, the following benefited from the sale of the cards:
- Michiana
Addictions and Prevention Services
- Disability
Resource Center
- Community
Advocates
- Community
Aids Resource and Education Services
- WMU Department
of Dance
- Portage
Central High School
The
cards will also be made available at participating DKRA locations.
Nonprofits
are encouraged to pre-order their cards now, which would allow them
to have the first cards available to the general public. To order
cards or request more information, please contact Anne Elias at
269.375.1193 or ajelias@chartermi.net.
